About SANDY F
Sandy F is an award-winning milliner and stylist creating bespoke headwear for those who dare to be different.
Blending traditional millinery techniques with freeform movement and vibrant palettes, Sandra’s designs expertly balance timeless elegance with modern flair (and a little pizzazz!)
As a former hairdresser, Sandra’s knowledge of face shape, colour theory and proportion translates into an unrivalled ability to select and style headwear for every client.
Inspired by decadence and duality, she loves to blend stylistic contradictions, mixing materials and shapes to create complex pieces of wearable art.
Sandra’s creations are widely celebrated and highly regarded at Fashions On The Field (FOTF) events across Australia. She has been a recurring finalist in the Myer Millinery Awards and has received multiple awards for her work.
Her pieces have also been exhibited in gallery spaces across Victoria, and have been featured in Dutch hat magazine Hatlines in 2015 & 2019.
Sandra has been an active member of the Millinery Australia since 1994, where she has served on the committee as Vice President and Event Coordinator. In her role as Event Coordinator, she created and launched the MAA Design Awards in 2015, now in its ninth year.
In July 2024 she was inducted into the Millinery Australia Hall of Fame for30 years contribution to the Association
Sandra currently lives and works from her studio in Geelong, on Victoria’s Bellarine Peninsula, Wadawurrung Country.
